Harvest Park is a 2-acre park located at the district's north end, in the North Bethany area. Nestled at the corner of NW Legend St. and NW Eleanor Ave. the park can also be accessed via Sato Trail or NW Evelyn Street.
The park name is inspired by historic photographs of the area from the Nikkei archive showing crops being planted and harvested. These photos, passed down through generations of families, are a meaningful part of Oregon’s history. The park’s gleaning garden will offer opportunities to harvest fresh produce, continuing the tradition of shared abundance. Visit the south entrance of the park to find blueberries and cherry trees.
The park features a plaza with a shelter including BBQs, playground areas with several slides, climbers, and swings, and a paved pathway that meanders through the park. The south side of the park includes a dog run with a separate small/timid dog area. The grassy area is lined with trees and a flat, open area with grass mounds to run up and roll down.
