Project Summary & Public Benefits

THPRD's successful bond measure, passed in November 2008, meant that new play equipment could be installed at Channing Park. It provides play opportunities for all age groups and abilities.

Additional improvements were also included as part of the project, including a subsurface drain line, a concrete curb for containing the wood fiber safety surfacing, an ADA ramp into the play area, an ADA picnic table and concrete pad, two benches, a trash receptacle, and a four-foot tall safety fence along the street adjacent to the play area.
