At their meeting on Tuesday, August 7, the THPRD Board of Directors discussed the process they would like to use in filling the board seat recently vacated by Holly Thompson.
Taking into account the recent extensive outreach effort conducted this spring to appoint board member, Wendy Kroger, the board agreed to return to the list of candidates from that effort in order to fill the new vacancy.
The previous outreach effort had resulted in 26 applications received from individuals interested in appointment, ten of whom were interviewed by the board of directors.
The board has agreed to interview again the second and third runner-ups in that process, Todd Duwe and Heidi Edwards, for consideration in filling the current vacancy.
The public meeting at which the two interviews will take place will be announced once a date has been selected.
