Explore the habitats of the rough-skinned newt as you learn about what newts and their fellow forest inhabitants need to survive. From streams and ponds to terrestrial forests, we will look at the habitat needs of a variety of aquatic invertebrates, amphibians, reptiles, and mammals through indoor exhibits. Venture out into the park to find evidence of these plants and animals on a self-guided adventure. This is a family-friendly event that provides activities designed to inspire exploration of nature during the season when it is tempting to stay inside. Register to arrive during a specific start time and plan to stay 2 hours to explore the event. Pre-registration is recommended.
