The Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District is now accepting applications to fill one citizen position on its Audit Committee. The deadline for applying is Friday, May 25.
The Audit Committee generally meets at least two times a year and is responsible for providing assistance in ensuring management adherence to a sound internal control system, objective assessment of management’s practices, and objective assessment of the district’s financial reporting practices. Audit committee members are typically subject matter experts in municipal finance or audit.
The three-member committee includes one THPRD board member, one THPRD Budget Committee member, and one citizen member. Applicants must reside within park district boundaries. This appointment will be for two years, ending June 30, 2020.
