Twenty-six candidates submitted applications for a vacant seat on the THPRD Board of Directors. The deadline was Feb. 7.
The current four-member board will begin the process of reviewing the applications and determining next steps, which will include interviews for at least some of the applicants. The target date for interviews is March 6.
Once board members have completed the interviews and reviewed all qualifications, they will make a decision and announce the appointee at their regularly scheduled meeting on March 12.
The appointee will serve until June 30, 2019. A public election will then be held to determine who will serve the remainder of the open seat’s term, which is set to expire June 30, 2021. That election will happen in May 2019.
