Park Improvments

In 2017, THPRD completed an updated concept plan for Raleigh Park to improve the park’s existing amenities and restore the park’s stream and habitat. The concept plan is based on community input gathered in 2016-2017 through several community meetings.

THPRD continues to implement the updated concept plan over time as funding becomes available. The pickleball court was renovated in 2018 and the pool deck was replaced in 2019. Staff started habitat restoration activities in the forested areas in 2020.

In summer 2024 THPRD reshaped and daylighted Hall Creek within the park to a more natural alignment. Native trees, shrubs, and herbs were planted along the new stream corridor in spring 2025. In summer 2025, a loop path walking system, composed primarily of soft surface paths, was added to the park.

There is no dedicated funding source for additional park amenity changes at this time. Further improvements will be made as resources are available and/or when old amenities are due for replacement.
