New Procedures and Programs under COVID-19 guidelines
We are offering lap swim, water walking, water fitness classes, and recreational swims using a reservation based system. Click here for hours. We are also beginning to offer private swim lessons and a small splash swim team in the afternoons. Please see www.thprd.org/portal to reserve your spot/enroll. A mask or face covering must be worn to enter the facility. You may remove your mask for your rinse shower, while you are in the pool, and for your final shower. At all other times, you must wear your mask. This includes the transitions between locker rooms and the pool deck. During the brief times when you are not wearing your mask, please remember to stay socially distanced (6 feet or more) from others. This especially applies to those who are participating in water fitness classes.
Entry and Check-In Procedures
Please read through the following to ensure you will be prepared for your visit.
Enter through the North entrance through the Splash Pad and wait outside until a lifeguard opens the door for you. You will not be let into the building earlier than 10 minutes before your reserved time slot.
Please arrive in your swim suit. Everyone will go through our coed Rinse Room* to shower before entering the pool.
Intermission between swim sessions will be 5 minutes. If you have arrived early, please wait by your designated belongings area until the previous session attendees have gotten out of the pool and the lifeguard says you may enter the pool.
If you are doing lap swim, the lifeguard will assign you either A or B chairs to place your belongings.
If you are water walking, the lifeguard will assign you one section of the slide pool. There will be a section on the North wall where you will be asked to place your belongings.
If you are doing water fitness, the lifeguard will ask you to place your belongings on either cement wall in a taped off area (without an A or B on it)
If you are here for recreational swim, the lifeguard will assign you a section of the cement wall with an A or B for your belongings. This will also correspond to the gender neutral dressing room you may use for your family after your swim.
If you are here for private swim lessons, the lifeguard will ask you to place your belongings on the cement wall by the windows in the marked area for private lessons.
If you are here for the splash swim team, read the program description below for the check in/out process, as it differs from our other programs.
After your activity, you may take a quick rinsing shower in the main locker rooms (men’s and women’s) and get dressed, but please keep it under 5 minutes in the locker room. Please no use of hair dryers. Exit through the same North doors.
*There is an individual changing room available upon request for any ADA participants.

Staff will take your child's temperature, ask a few questions relating to COVID-19, and then let your child enter the building.
At the end of practice, you will meet your child at the same door. Staff will open the door when your child is ready. Whoever is picking up needs to be on the approved emergency contact form (completed online) and will be asked to show ID before the child will be released.
